The Regal George III Overmantel Mirror is inspired by an original George II design from circa 1760, which was featured in Sotheby’s Important English Furniture auction on Friday, 15th November 1996, with an estimated value of £20,000–£30,000.
This magnificent overmantel mirror showcases arched foliate-scrolled cresting above a flame-carved surround, divided by columns entwined with leaves and flowers, and stylized dolphins framing the bottom two corners.
Hand-carved from mahogany by our expert craftsmen, the mirror is beautifully gilded in metal leaf.
