An unusual mahogany library bookcase featuring a broken swan neck cornice with a domed center.
The upper section is adorned with two astragal-glazed doors, revealing gilt interiors, centered by a glazed door that encloses a spiral staircase, all beneath a carved portico door. The base includes three slides and frieze drawers, positioned above cabinet doors and resting on bun feet.
This piece is inspired by original George III furniture, drawing influence from the collection at Althorp House and endorsed by Earl Spencer.
The design seamlessly combines historical elements with practical storage, making it an elegant addition to any distinguished library or study.
