Mahogany Concave Side Cabinet

A distinguished mahogany and burl banded side cabinet, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and design.

The cabinet features three finely crafted frieze drawers above a central oval panel, with lozenge inlaid doors that add a layer of intricate detail. These doors open to reveal adjustable shelves, offering versatile storage while maintaining the cabinet’s refined proportions.

The concave sides of the cabinet create a soft, flowing silhouette, while the turned legs, finished with elegant brass capping’s, provide both stability and decorative flair. The combination of rich mahogany and burl banding, along with the careful inlay work, results in a harmonious balance of form and function.

This cabinet is inspired by an original George III design, circa 1800, which was sold at auction in London for approximately £12,000, further attesting to its historical significance and value. A piece that effortlessly blends timeless design with practical elegance, it serves as both a functional storage solution and a striking focal point in any interior.
